Whole Home Pet Consulting offers supportive, education-based consultations to help pets and their people better understand one another and navigate everyday challenges at home.
This work is especially helpful for newly adopted pets and the people learning alongside them, as well as for long-time guardians navigating changes, confusion, or behaviors that no longer feel as manageable as they once did.
If something has shifted, feels unclear, or just isn’t working the way it used to, you’re not alone.
Many behavior questions aren’t about disobedience.
They’re about communication, routines, and the home environment.
Together, we focus on understanding what’s going on and making practical, realistic adjustments that help everyone feel more settled and confident together.
In-home and virtual consultations are available.
Maybe things felt easier at first.
Or maybe they never quite settled the way you expected.
You brought a new pet home—or something has shifted with a pet you’ve had for years.
But weeks later, something still isn’t falling into place.
Your dog won’t settle in the evenings, pacing or needing constant attention.
They bark when you leave, or seem anxious even when you’re home.
Your cat is avoiding the litter box, scratching furniture, or hiding more than usual.
Your pets aren’t getting along the way you hoped.
Routines feel inconsistent, or hard to maintain.
You’re not sure if what you’re seeing is normal—or something you should be doing differently.
You’ve tried to adjust, to give it time, to piece things together. And still, something feels off.
Even if nothing feels “serious”…
it’s still taking up space in your day, and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
Sometimes what’s happening at home isn’t about teaching more cues or correcting a behavior in isolation.
Sometimes it’s about slowing down and looking at the full picture.
At Whole Home Pet Consulting, our work is centered on understanding behavior in context—through routines, communication, expectations, and the home environment. The goal is not quick fixes, but clearer understanding and practical adjustments that help pets and people live happier lives together.
That might mean noticing where stress is building, where communication is getting lost, or where everyone is trying but something in the day-to-day just isn’t quite lining up.
Our services are consultative and education-based. Training concepts and behavior strategies may be part of what we talk through together, but we are not rigid obedience training, veterinary care, or behavior modification for severe aggression. When something falls outside the scope of this work, appropriate referrals may be recommended.
Sessions are structured around understanding what’s happening in the context of your home and daily life—not just the behavior itself.
Together, we look at:
Routines and how the day-to-day flow may be impacting behavior
Stress signals in both pets and people
The home environment and how it’s being used
Communication patterns and expectations
Where things may feel mismatched, unclear, or overwhelming
This is a collaborative process focused on observation, understanding, and making practical adjustments that feel realistic to implement.
